Amanda Michael Plummer (b. March 23, 1957, New York City, New York) is an Emmy Award-winning American actor born to actor Christopher Plummer and Tony Award-winning actress Tammy Grimes. Plummer has appeared in several genre productions and may be remembered by Outer Limits fans as a time traveling scientist. She is also memorable as one half of a diner-robbing duo in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction.
Plummer made her film debut in Cattle Annie and Little Britches but her breakthrough role came in 1991 appearing opposite Robin Williams in The Fisher King.
Plummer has also appeared in numerous stage productions and has won awards from the Outer Critics Circle, Theatre World and Drama Desk. Her Broadway appearances include A Taste of Honey which earned her a Tony Award nomination, Pygmalion, The Glass Menagerie, and You Never Can Tell. In film and television, she won a Saturn Award for her role in Stephen King's Needful Things and three Emmy awards for her role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Miss Rose White and The Outer Limits. Her performance in Miss Rose White also saw her nominated for a Golden Globe award.
Other notable roles include Joe Versus the Volcano, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Nostradamus, The Prophecy, The Vampyre Wars, A Simple Wish, Seven Days to Live, Shadow Realm, Mimic: Sentinel, Santa's Little Helper, Red, and guest appearances in Night Visions, and Battlestar Galactica as Oracle Selloi.
