Alvin Sanders (b. March 16, 1952, Oakland, California) is an American actor. Sanders got his start in entertainment performing in church choirs, school plays, and talent shows. His love for performance led to him to the Seattle Repertory Theatre and a career in acting. He is a founding member of Black arts/West Theater which disbanded in 1980 but not before becoming one of the largest black theaters in the United States. Sanders gained much experience directing, acting and designing. He then took his experience to Carnegie-Mellon University in 1970 where he studied acting and later worked at Chicago's Free Streeth Theater.
After working in British Columbia in the 1980s Sanders married and settled in Vancouver and has since become a Canadian citizen. He made his television debut in 1985 guest starring on Brotherly Love. He has lent his voice to several animated series including Captain N: The Game Master, The New Adventures of He-Man, GI. Joe, Mummies Alive!, Dragon Ball Z Vampire Hunter: The Animated Series, and the 1991 animated movie Alice in Wonderland. His genre series appearances include Double Dragon, The X-Files, The Outer Limits, Stargate SG-1, The Dead Zone, Smallville, and Supernatural.
