The Alpha Site is a fictional planet in the Stargate universe.

The Alpha Site was Earth's primary off-world base. Its original design was to act as a safe haven in case of an attack on Earth, as seen in both an alternate reality, and the actual reality. The Alpha Site is also where SG Teams travel to if and when they are unable to contact Stargate Command via the Stargate. There have been a few Alpha Sites, as the first was compromised and destroyed.
