Alexis Denisof (b. February 25, 1966) is an American actor best known for his role as British Watcher, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce on Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Denisof was born in Salisbury, Maryland and raised in Seattle, Washington. He attended St. Paul's boarding school in New Hampshire and went on to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He lived and worked in England for thirteen years before returning to the United States.

Career

While living in England he appeared on stage at Chichester, The Gate, Theatre Royal and for the RSC. Early television roles include Soldier Soldier, a BBC production of Romeo and Juliet, and Faith. Film appearances include Innocent Lies, First Knight with Sean Connery, and True Blue. He also appeared in three Sharpe stories with British actor Sean Bean.

Genre roles include Highlander, Ghost Cop, Noah's Ark, and voice roles in Batman Beyond as Zander, The Legend of Tarzan and Justice League.

Recent roles include guest appearances on wife Alyson Hannigan's sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
