Alex Zahara

Alex Zahara (Grand Prairie, Alberta) is a Canadian actor who has appeared in a number of genre series and films. Zahara landed a scholarship to University after directing a high school stage version of M*A*S*H. He attended the University of of Alberta and later the University of British Columbia where he earned his BFA in theatre. He turned to acting primarily in plays and genre series such as Roswell Conspiracies, Viper, The Sentinel, Welcome to Paradox, Strange World, Millennium and The Outer Limits.

Zahara made his film debut in The 13th Warrior as a Norseman and followed up with a recurring role on the comedy Beggars and Choosers. In 2002, he played the role of Ezekiel in the Showtime series Jeremiah. He made his first appearance on Stargate SG-1 in 1998. He has appeared in eight episodes of the series each time as a different character. Other notable genre appearances include First Wave, So Weird, The Immortal, Andromeda, Dark Angel, The Dead Zone, Kingdom Hospital, Tru Calling, Battlestar Galactica, Masters of Horror, The Collector, Blood Ties, Masters of Science Fiction, and the TV movie Ogre.
