Alex O'Loughlin(b. 1975 Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian actor who began his big screen career in 2004, landing a role in Oyster Farmer. He followed up with the film Feed which he helped write and produce. He made his genre debut in the 2005 Sci Fi horror, Man-Thing and after the miniseries Mary Bryant and a small appearance in the romantic comedy The Holiday starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet, he appeared in The Invisible. O'Laughlin will star in his first genre series Moonlight in 2007, in which he plays a vampire private eye, Mick St. John.
