Affinity is episode 7 of Stargate SG-1 season 8.
Summary
Teal'c becomes a murder suspect after he moves off base into his own apartment. Carter considers her relationship with Pete.
Plot
Unable to follow Daniel's advice to not become too involved with his neighbors thereby making himself conspicuous, Teal'c nevertheless becomes a neighborhood hero. He develops a close friendship with neighbor Krista James, and falls on her abusive boyfriend, Doug's, enemy list. Krista eventually breaks off her relationship with Doug and begins studying martial arts with Teal'c.
Pete proposes to Carter but she does not give him an answer. She reveals her doubts to O'Neill about their relationship and the risks of her career. Jack assures her she is not the first person on the base to have a family outside their job. If things had turned out differently with his wife and family, he wouldn't be there.
When Doug comes back into Krista's life some time later, she ends her studies with Teal'c. Suspecting further abuse, he threatens to kill Doug should he harm Krista again. When Krista later comes to him, with news that her relationship is over, she tells him she wants to get away with him for the weekend. The two go off together without informing anyone. He awakens later to find her missing and he is taken into custody and returned to the SGC.
Police later discover that Doug was murdered and Krista is missing. Teal'c is suspected of Doug's murder. Carter calls on Pete to help the investigation and he determines that Doug's body was positioned to make it appear as if he'd committed a crime. Further investigation leads them to realize Teal'c was being watched and they suspect rogue NID. Suspicions are confirmed when Daniel is blackmailed into meeting a NID operative who claims to have footage proving Teal'cs's innocence inn exchange for the footage, they need him to translate an Ancient script.
Daniel is captured and taken to a warehouse where he discovers the NID have Krista. He learns that Krista killed doug in self defense using techniques she learned from Teal'c. The NID operatives merely took advantage of the opportunity presented to them by framing Teal'c for the crime. Daniel is forced to translate the Ancient writing which the NID transmit to another location. They zat Krists and Daniel rendering them both unconscious. The group then escapes using Asgard beaming technology. Moments later Carter, Sam and team arrive at the warehouse, too late to capture the NID.
Sam agrees to marry Pete.
Teal'c moves out of his apartment and back to the base. Though the incident was largely Krista's fault, he decides it's for the best.
