Adrian Pasdar is an American actor born on April 30, 1965 in Pittsfield Massachusetts. He grew up in Powelton Pennsylvania where his family moved at a young age. While in high school he played football and won a scholarship to the University of Florida. A devastating accident in his freshman year ended his pursuit of the sport and left his face and legs scarred. He was wheelchair bound for several months. After undergoing intensive physical therapy, he recovered and completed his freshman year.

Pasdar decided not to return to college and went to work at the People's Light and Theater Company in Malvern Pennsylvania. While working on set construction he seriously damaged his thumb. He received compensation for his injury and used it to enroll in the Lee Strasburg Theater Institute in New York. After graduating he auditioned for and won his first role in the hit film Top Gun as Chipper. It was the beginning of a sucessful career and he followed up with roles in Streets of Gold, Solarbabies , Near Dark and Vital Signs.

He appeared on the big screen and in several TV Movies throughout the early 90s including Carlito's Way, Shadows of Desire, Slave of Dreams alongside Edward James Olmos, Touched by Evil with Paula Abdul, and Wounded. In 1997 he landed the title role in short lived unique series Profit in which he played the evil, immoral and highly ambitious Jim Profit.

Following the cancellation of Profit, the guest starred on The Outer Limits and Touched by an Angel. He also appeared in the movies Mutiny, Desert Son and The Big Day. In 2000 he landed a starring role in another TV Series, Mysterious Ways as professor Declan Dunn an anthropology professor who sought to discover whether there were any real miracles. He has also appeared on The Twilight Zone, Judging Amy and Desperate Housewives.

Pasdar can currently be seen on the NBC series Heroes as Nathan Petrelli a congressional candidate in New York who discovers he can fly.

Personal Life

In May 1999, Pasdar met singer Natalie Maines at the wedding of her fellow band member, Emily Robison. They married on June 24, 2000 and currently have two children, Jackson Slade Pasdar and Beckett Finn Pasdar.
