Spoiler Warning: Plot details and/or information about the ending follow. If you wish to enjoy the work first, stop reading here and return at another time.

Adria's first appearance is in the Season 10 opener, "Flesh and Blood." As Adria ages quickly throughout the episode, she is played by three young actresses: Emma Rose Cooper, Jodelle Ferland, and Brenna O'Brien. Her final incarnation as an adult is played by Morena Baccarin of Firefly and Serenity.

History

Vala Mal Doran is transported through the collapsing singularity to the Ori galaxy in the episode "Beachhead," and is reconstituted by the Ring Transporter near the village of Ver Isca. She soon discovers she is pregnant and is unaware of how it happened. She begins to suspect her pregnancy is the doing of the Ori. Her suspicions are confirmed by a Prior and she returns to the Milky Way with her husband Tomin aboard an Ori ship built to deliver crusaders to the Milky Way.

In the Milky Way, Vala goes into labor on board the Ori vessel and gives birth to a baby girl who is taken from her. Within hours of being born, her daughter grows to the age of four, and Vala is allowed to meet her for the first time. The child has been genetically altered to grow at a rapid pace. She introduces herself as Orici, the name given to her by one of the priors, who states: "Ex uno discent omnes," or, as Tomin translated, "From one, all will learn," suggesting she carries a tremendous amount of knowledge. The prior also states that she is part divine, part human, and utters the prophetic statement, "Et terra rus et sidera tollere vultus" ("the earth will rise his face towards the stars").

Despite her youth, Orici has the vast knowledge of the Ori and shares their beliefs. A part of her is very much a child however, and she shows the impatience of one, as well as a desire for her mother's approval. Vala names her Adria, after her stepmother; a woman, Vala later makes clear to Daniel, she did not like.

In only a few more hours, Adria ages to the equivalent of seven years old, and tries to convince Vala that the Ancients are the liars. She claims it is the Ancients who sap power from their followers in the Milky Way and that they were created to help the Ancients gain the power to destroy the Ori. She also claims that the Ori really do Ascend their followers despite Orlin's claim. Vala does not take any of her propaganda seriously.

Vala and Daniel—who had ringed aboard the Ori vessel during the battle with the Ori—attempt to take Adria with them when the Odyssey arrives to rescue them. They are prevented from doing so by a prior who immediately unleashes flames around the room to prevent them from leaving. Daniel and Vala are beamed out by the Odyssey, leaving Adria behind.

She is seen next in "Counterstrike". In the episode, the Jaffa have turned to genocide to battle the Ori and have set the Dakara superweapon to attack a human planet Adria is visiting after it was converted to worship the Ori. The blast destroys everyone on the planet Jaffa and Ori alike execpt Adria. When she was questioned about how she survived she showed Daniel a necklace/pendent and said that it protected her.

In the mid-season finale, Adria disguised herself as a local man on a planet SG-1 visits in hope of finding the Sangraal. She joins them on their mission but is ultimately forced to reveal herself when Daniel recognizes her ring. She continues with them into a cave where they solve several riddles. Once inside the cave, her powers are rendered useless. Adria hoped to use SG-1 to retrieve the Sangraal as she is unable to do it herself. However, SG-1 is transported to a cavern where Merlin's body is located without her, leaving her to try to find them, as they automatically are shifted to a new world every few hours. She eventually catches up and battles against Daniel enhanced by Merlin's knowledge while the rest of the team escaped.

Adria eventually converted Daniel into a prior, though the knowledge in his mind prevented a complete conversion allowing him to team up with SG-1 to finish Merlin's weapon and transport it to the Ori galaxy. The weapon destroyed the Ori but Adria returned through the supergate with several more Ori vessels.

In "Dominion", SG-1, using Vala as bait managed to kidnap Vala and subdue her with the anti prior device hoping they could convince her to call off her army. Instead, she was taken by Baal who implanted her with his symbiote and confirmed the destruction of the Ori. SG-1 got Adria back and decided to replace Baal's symbiote with that of a Tok'ra. However, the surgery proved unsuccessful and Adria was expected to die from the poison Baal released in her blood stream. Vala agreed to let the doctor add more poison to shorten her death but Adria awoke and knowing death was imminent, managed to ascend before anyone could stop her.

Following her ascension, Adria assumed all the power once distributed among the Ori. She continued with the Ori plan to destroy the Ancients and become a true god. Her plans came to an end in Stargate: The Ark of Truth when SG-1 discovered an Alteran artifact, "The Ark of Truth" and used its power to reveal the truth about the Ori to the priors and their followers, which immediately diminished Adria's power allowing Morgan le Fay to engage her, preventing her from using her power for any other purpose.

Abilities

Even at age four, Adria already possessed the ability to heal and healed Vala shortly after her birth. She also seems to possess a certain amount of intuition, though it's not clear whether she is truly telepathic. It can be assumed that she has all the abilities the priors possess, along with greater knowledge. She also has this necklace/pendent thing that shelters her from harm.
