Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (b. August 22, 1967) is a British actor born in Islington, London, England to Nigerian parents. He is best known for his appearance on the HBO series OZ as Simon Adebisi, The Mummy Returns as Lock-Nah and and his role as Mr. Eko on the ABC series Lost. Akinnuoye-Agbaje attended Kings College London where he received his Master of Laws. He is fluent in several languages including Italian, English, Yorùbá and Swahili.

He began his career as a fashion model before transitioning to acting. Early roles include appearances on Red Shoe Diaries, New York Undercover and the films Dela of Venus, Congo and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. His genre roles include the TV movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea , and The Mistress of Spices.
