Action Comics <span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span> Action Comics is a comic book series published by the current DC Comics. It is best known for having introduced Superman in its first issue (June, 1938). This made Action #1(1938) the very first superhero comic book. It was an instant smash, and soon the Golden Age of Comics superheroes had begun. Action Comics has been more or less continuously published since then (with a few interruptions and publication schedule changes), having reached over 800 issues by the year 2007.
