Synopsis

A skilled crew aboard Perry Berg's ship, the Benthic Explorer, travel to a remote area of the Atlantic ocean with the goal of drilling deep into the Earth's magma core and sampling it. En route to the drilling location, they are sucked into a deep extinct undersea volcano and discover another world, the wonderland of an advanced civilization. The world's inhabitants, the first advanced race on Earth. The Interterrans possess incredible technology that has taken them through time and space. Their culture is vastly different from that of the above world humans. The crew of the Benthic Explorer each react differently to the stunning revelation and rewriting of history and despite the wonders of the world beneath, some are only too eager to leave but for varying reasons.
