Aaron Eckhart (March 12, 1968 Cupertino, California - ) is a Golden Globe-nominated American actor remembered for his role in Thank You for Smoking as Tobacco spokesman Nick Naylor. Eckhart made his movie debut in the TV movie Double Jeopardy and his genre debut on the short-lived series Aliens in the Family. Since then, his profile has increased significantly with roles in Any Given Sunday with Cameron Diaz and Al Pacino, Erin Brokovich with Julia Roberts, Possession with Gwyneth Paltrow, The scifi flop, The Core with Oscar winner Hilary Swank, Paycheck, The Black Dahlia, The Wicker Man and No Rservations.

In 2008, Eckhart will show another face (or two of them) as Harvey Dent in the Batman movie, The Dark Knight.
