A Tale of Two Sisters is a 2008 remake of a South Korean horror film of the same name directed Jee Won. This American remake is directed by Charles and Thomas Guard. The film centers on Anna (Emily Browning) who returns home after a stint in a mental hospital following her mother's death. Her recovery is threatened when she finds her father (David Strathairn) is now engaged to her mother's former nurse, Rachel (Elizabeth Banks). Anna is warned of Rachel's ill intentions by the ghost of her mother and she and sister, Alex (Arielle Kebbel) try to convince their father that Rachel is not who she seems.
