30 Days of Night a limited comic series published by IDW Publishing in 2002. The 3-issue horror series was created by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith. The story takes place in Barrow, Alaska in the arctic circle where, in winter, the sun doesn't rise for over two months. This makes Barrow, an ideal spot for vampires who visit the town for a lasting rampage. The series proved successful enough to launch a feature film, which starred Melissa George and George Hartnett.
