28 Weeks Later is a 2007 film sequel to Danny Boyle's sci fi horror film 28 Days Later. The film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo with the screenplay provided by the writing team of Fresnadillo, Rowan Joffe, Jesús Olmo and Enrique López Lavigne. The movie was filmed in England and opens in theaters on May 11, 2007.

Plot
Six months after the Rage virus annihilated the population of Great Britain reducing the country of 60 million to a mere 7,000, the US army moves in to restore order and repopulate the city. A pair of siblings, away during the devastation returns to London to find their father has a new girlfriend following the loss of their mother to the virus.
The US military holds a press conference in which they announce the last of the infected have died but an infected boy is later discovered. Scientists attempt to use him to find an antibody for the virus but the virus soon rages out of control once again and uninfected survivors must once again band together in order to survive.
