2007 - The Dresden Files debuts on Sci Fi Channel. Spider-Man 3 proves most expensive film to date.
2006 - NBC series Heroes proves most successful new fall drama series. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest improves on the success of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
2005 - Several scifi series debut in the fall season.: Invasion, Surface, Threshold and Night Stalker. All are canceled by the end of the season. 2005 also proves a great year for genre films with the debut of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Serenity, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Batman Begins, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
2004 - Buffy spinoff Angel comes to an end. The 4400 debuts as does the third Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King earns the Academy Award for best picture.
2003 - New Battlestar Galactica launches on Sci Fi Channel. Buffy the Vampire Slayer comes to an end after seven seasons.
2002 -
2001 - UPN debuts Star Trek: Enterprise. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring opens to rave reviews and is the most nominated film at the 2002 Academy Awards.
