In 1994, long-time science fiction staple, Star Trek: The Next Generation aired an original episode for the last time.
The most prominent newcomer of the year was Hercules, who appeared as a character played by Kevin Sorbo in a handful of movies made by Sam Raimi for Universal Pictures' Action Pack series of syndicated made-for-TV movies. The movies were so popular that plans were announced for Raimi and Sorbo to make a weekly hour-long Hercules series.
