Events

1993 was the year that The X-Files debuted. The little low-budget Friday night FOX] show outshines and outlasted big-budget extravaganzas in NBC's seaQuest DSV and ABC's Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which also debuted in the Fall of 1993.

The year also was the final season of the syndicated Star Trek: The Next Generation, which was cancelled by Paramount Pictures despite continuing popularity among the viewing audience.
